This summer we were lucky to host Junior Fellow Shelby Kruger for a project focused on better connecting to libraries and educators. The Library of Congress Junior Fellow Program is a 10-week summer internship that gives participants hands-on experience working in the world’s largest research library. Shelby interviewed librarians and teachers who had hosted transcribing activities and analyzed and updated our resources for these communities. The fruits of her labor are now online! These include:
-
- A new How-To guide: Reading Cursive Handwriting
- New resources on how to start a Cursive Club at your school or library (including a printable cursive license!)
- An updated For Educators page, featuring a transcribe-a-thon guide specifically for teachers
